Goodbyes
This spring, we officially commissioned two Mission Candidates to the field! Josh Hamilton and his wife Bethany, have been approved to transition to UIM Aviation, and Madeline Hooks will be joining AIM. Over the past month, I’ve been updating all of our media at SOAR, including our “Missionaries Sent” poster. While working on it, I was reminded of God’s original calling for us and how faithfully He continues to work.
Please pray for Josh and Madeline as they enter this time of transition. Madeline is preparing to join AIM in July, and Josh is working to complete his final fundraising with the goal of launching in January. Josh and his wife also just welcomed their first child—an exciting but full season for their family. Pray that God would use both of these missionaries powerfully for His glory.
New Faces!
We’ve noticed a beautiful pattern—when God transitions one out, He often brings another in around the same time. We’re thrilled to welcome our newest Mission Candidate family! Michael and Breanne Plummer joined us this month and will begin training this week. They have two young children and are expecting a third! During his time at SOAR, Michael will be training in both flight and maintenance.
We’re also hoping to welcome one more candidate this fall, pending their partnership development. Please pray for the Plummers as they settle into Bolivar and begin this new season of preparation and service. Read more about them and the other Mission Candidates here.
Healing
This winter, we asked you to join us in prayer for Deb’s health and for wisdom in navigating medical decisions. Many of you have reached out to let us know you’ve been praying, and we truly cannot express how deeply grateful we are for these partnerships that love and support us so well. Thank you.
As an update, we’re happy to share that things are improving. We are seeing God move and bring healing. While Deb is not fully back to normal yet, we’re steadily heading in the right direction. Please continue to pray with us for improvement.
